Last year I set a ton a goals for myself and this blog and unfortunately due to poor management of time(and frolicking around Spain), I didn’t accomplish all of them.
Since starting the new year goal setting has been on my mind a ton lately. As well as digging deeper into my inner self to explore why at times I feel like I am lagging behind.
I’ve spent countless hours watching YouAreCreators, pouring through one of my favorite bloggers “Get what you want tips”, Listening to Myleik Teele’s words of wisdom, reading Deepak’s The Book of Secret’s and the list goes on.
I finally came to a realization.
The one thread that weaves together why I didn’t accomplish everything last year.
I’ve been inconsistent.
Inconsistent with:
MY BLOG
MY TIME
MY WORKOUTS
CREATING MY TRAVEL JOURNALS AND CALENDARS
MY FOOD BLOG (bet you didn’t even know I had a second blog. #shameful I know. It’s so neglected)*
The list of inconsistencies can go on and on.
Instead of wallowing in self doubt or comparing myself to the success of my peers, I’m making a change.
In the words of my favorite quote from the new year:
2014 was a year of self-realization & development
2015 is a year of manifestation & clarity.
I need to be more self-disciplined with my actions in order to get the results that I desire.
Though I set out to post everyday in January and kinda failed, it was mainly becauseof not planning ahead (and being lazy).
We had a Peace Corps training for 2 weeks in the capital city from the 18th to to February 2nd. I could have blogged everyday…there was wifi…but was I lazy.
Lazy no more (I did manage to get 11 posts up though haha, *pats back*), I’ve set my dead lines for the next 6 months.
My two phrases for the next 11 months are:
Self- Discipline!
and
Set a Dead Line!
In fact I think I’ll sketch some posters and hang them for a reminder. I’ll post the image on instagram when I do.
I’ll continue to use Courtney’s tips for guidance along with prayer (Mom’s advice…all day…every day).
By the end of this year “consistently inconsistent” will no longer be words I associate with …at all!
Are you consistently inconsistent? If so, share some tips below on how you get on track!
I’m gone to tick off another box on my to do list!
See you, Go siame!
🙂
