What’s Pink and Orange and Black all over?

May 16, 2012 By Tamara

Sunday wash day was a trip! 7 hours of Henna, Indigo and Curlformers! *Whew!
Crazy! I’ve been watching too many YT hair videos. This is how I ended up with darn Curlformers ha ha. But I thought it would be a great addition to my traveling arsenal of hair supplies.
Here is a picture of my hair Monday morning when removing the curl formers.
I don’t like how the end came out at all! I have to try to make a good setting lotion.

I only left the regular henna in for about 45 minutes and I did not mix it with any additional ingredients. I then applied the indigo and left that for 1 hour. I totally should have left the indigo for longer. My hair isn’t as dark as I would have liked but at hour five my bones were getting restless. And it took another 2 hours (almost) to install  the Curlformers. I ordered the “long and wide” pack from their website.
I should have ordered the “extra long and wide” because my hair is too long for this pack. The order was placed on May 2nd–>Confirmed and shipped on May 3rd–>Arrived in Korea May 10th.
Pretty speedy and reliable delivery in case you were wondering 🙂
There are some mixtures I will test out this weekend to use as a setting lotion for the Curlformers.

I must add that on Monday it was very misty and humid out. When I left work and walked to the bus stop my curls were gone. I ended up with what looked like a blown out Fro.

Me and the henna beast will not cross paths again for a long time. Maybe next year!

Which site did you order from? Curlformers are quite intimidating to me so I don’t think I’ll be trying those anytime soon. Have you tried flexi rods? Same effect but better curl I think.

Hey Joslyn…I ordered them from the curlformers site. They actually are pretty easy to put in. I was worried at first but after installing one or two you can get the hang of it pretty quickly. Flexi rod curls never come out right for me 🙁 That I need more practice with! I do like how the curl formers leave your hair super stretched like a blowout!

All aboard!
