Vatos Tacos, Itaewon South Korea

June 7, 2012 By Tamara

As I said in the first Seoul post, Vatos Tacos needs its own post. This will be short and  sweet so that we can focus on the food.  3 points.  1. Its easy to find. Just go to their website. I used the directions from there and had no problems finding it.  2. The service is not that great. I walked in and there was no greeting. The place is crazy small and it was … [Read more...]

April 30, 2012 By Tamara

meme restaurant

I never made it to the Busan aquarium on Saturday :( BUT... I did find MeMe organic food restaurant! Yay me! After wondering around the beach with no idea how to get over the barrier of trees, I stumbled upon a tourist information center. The lady inside was very helpful. In my broken Korean and her broken English, we were able to figure out how I could walk over to … [Read more...]

Day 7 : Singapore Botanical Garden

March 11, 2012 By Tamara

My last full day in Singapore is upon me :( On this day I chose to visit the Singapore Botanical Garden, Vegan Burg and Marina Bay. Check out the photo story below. At the botanical garden I felt consumed by all the beauty and nature and wonderful floral scents. I wanted to do a picnic and layout with a book but those plans did not pan out. There were so many couples … [Read more...]

Day 6: Singapore Zoo and Maxwell Food Center

March 10, 2012 By Tamara

I woke up feeling so relaxed. I stayed in bed for as long as I could. Today I would visit the Zoo and night safari. And most importantly have pancakes for breakfast! I showered and got dressed. I have been using https://www.gothere.sg/ to plan my bus/train trips around Singapore. I would take the bus to the Zoo after breakfast. Breakfast at The Loft: The Singapore Zoo! … [Read more...]

Day 5: Little India

March 9, 2012 By Tamara

After I got ready I had planned on visiting an area called Little India and the Singapore zoo. I never made it to the zoo today but I did find Little India. I downloaded and app on my Ipod called "Waalkz". It gives a very great walking tour of four neighborhoods in Singapore. The four are: Little India, Boat Quay, Chinatown, Arab Quarters. The app is free and it was really … [Read more...]

VIPS Steak and Salad restaurant

October 15, 2011 By Tamara

When I lived in Spain last year I frequently stopped in a restaurant called VIPS for lunch or breakfast. They also sold books and some light grocery items and ready made food. VIPS recently opened in Ulsan and is located on the 13th floor of the Hyundai department store in Samsung-dong. Let me just say its a totally different experience here! Its sooooo much better lol. Well … [Read more...]
