Yup….this has been a long time coming for reals!
If you’re been reading this blog for some time now, then you probably already know about my Peace Corps application.
You can check my timeline, I won’t recount it here.
In April 3 days before leaving for Semana Santa vacation I received my invitation email from the placement office.
BOTSWANA
I will be leaving in August to embark on this 27 month journey as a Peace Corps Botswana volunteer.
It was interesting explaining to my students and teachers about the Peace Corps organization.
I even did an impromptu lesson with one of my 3 of ESO classes.
From April to now…haha…I’ve been running around Spain like a crazy person trying to get my medical tasks completed.
It was frustrating at times but not difficult.
Actually I am back stateside …been here for 3 days now. I have one final test result I am waiting for in Puertollano. I used SKYPE yesterday to call the doctors office haha. I have a deadline to make!
Starting from the end of July onward the posts on this blog will mainly reflect this new journey.
But there are a ton of Spain related posts that will go up until then.
If you have any questions about the PC application process, feel free to leave a comment below.

*so technically you aren’t suppose to use their logo…so I made one for the feature

Thanks Kim! Are you still blogging?

So, wait, I’m new to your blog so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but you are living in Spain and have been able to complete all the required things from there? I ask this because I am in the process of applying for the Peace Corps from another country as well. Currently, I’m in the United States for the summer, but I will be going back to the Dominican Republic in a few weeks. I was very concern about how the application process will go while I’m overseas.
Tamara says
Hi Natasha! Yes everything after the invite was completed in Spain. So I did my entire medical clearance process in Spain. You shouldn’t have any problems completing the earlier bits of the application in D.R. But just stay organized with your files and plan accordingly.
