Natural Hair Meet-up!

I attended a natural hair meet up with one of my friends yesterday. I believe it was my first natural hair meet-up EVER!

I generally don’t attend these events because:

1.The good ones are never in the same cities (or countries) that I am

AND

2. I think its a bit odd to focus so much attention on “natural hair” and not combine it with “total body wellness”.

*Seriously what good is your “natural hair regimen” using tons of juices and berries if you never exercise and eat crap (McDonald’s, Donuts, soda, Naked juices, fried foods etc) everyday.

Well this meet up yesterday was hosted by Textured Hair of CT. I’m pretty sure it is just a Facebook group and anyone can join. My friend and I are actually running the Run or Dye 5k in July with this same group. The event was small and they did try to incorporate other elements aside from hair, like natural face cleansing for instance.

There was a raffle and I actually won a little bag filled with a tea steeper, sugar scrub, and some tea samples. I’m not even going to use any of it now. I’ve stored them away to be packed in my suitcase. This little gift will come in handy on my next adventure.

OH! Yes! I now know what my next move will be. But I will share in due time…or after I get my visa ha ha. You know anything can happen.
