Merrell Down and Dirty 5K

June 28, 2013 By Tamara

If you’ve been following my musings since the beginning then you may have picked up on my  semi-health conscious streak 🙂
I try my best to eat healthy, exercise and take care of my skin and hair.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to undertake a 5K (3miles) obstacle course with my siblings.
And let me tell you…IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!!
The race was called Merrell Down and Dirty. Check out the website and I do recommend participating if you have the chance.
Especially if you’ve always wanted to take a mud bath like a hippopotamus…

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It was also great because my siblings and I haven’t done anything together in a while and never anything like this 🙂
The best part was that our mamma bear came out to watch us compete. We ran up to her covered in mud and she screamed and swatted us away lol.
Here are my 2 favorite pictures from the event:
Our team was called Jamrock!

My sister Nikki, is the oldest and our brother  Mikhail, the youngest…me Middle Child lol 🙂
I have another 5K coming up called Run or Dye also in Hartford. I think that will be it for 5K’s after that race. I am training myself for a 10K. And I still have to work on my stride and breathing. But I hope to do one before I move again.
I think I will announce my next country in my next blog post 🙂
Well that’s it for now. I hope you are all doing well!
What are your summer plans?
