Day 6: Singapore Zoo and Maxwell Food Center

March 10, 2012 By Tamara

I woke up feeling so relaxed. I stayed in bed for as long as I could. Today I would visit the Zoo and night safari. And most importantly have pancakes for breakfast!

I showered and got dressed. I have been using https://www.gothere.sg/ to plan my bus/train trips around Singapore. I would take the bus to the Zoo after breakfast.

Breakfast at The Loft:

The Singapore Zoo! Fun with the “aMinals”! Haha. Why do little kids always say it like that instead of “aNimals” 🙁 I spent close to 8 hours at the zoo. It was fantastic! I also visited the night safari after the zoo closed. So that’s why I was there ALL DAY!.

On the way home I stopped at Maxwell food center. One of the many hawker centers in Singapore. My dinner was $2.50 for Nasi Lesak and $1.50 for my lychee juice. My camera died before I could capture my meal 🙁

I visited the chicken rice stall that Anthony Bourdain visited in his show but it was closed 🙁  So I snapped a picture instead.

If you visit Singapore definitely check out the zoo and the Night safari. The entrance fee was probably the most expensive purchase I made, but it was well worth it!
