The Secret Law of Attraction in 2 Simple Tips!

June 26, 2018 By Tamara

arnel-hasanovic

I learned about The Secret Law of Attraction over 10 or 15 years ago. I'm not sure if it started with the movie The Secret or watching the Oprah show. But I've internalized and practiced the message for and I must admit it does "work". Why is work in quotations Tamara? With anything in life, the pursuit of something greater can not be accomplished without the action to back … [Read more...]

An Unapologetic Living

October 8, 2016 By Tamara

@brownkids

*an unapologetic living A few months ago while still living in Botswana as a Peace Corps volunteer, I found myself mindlessly thumbing through instagram feeds of deliciously plated vegan food. At the time my body was starving on a cellular level and craved a rainbow assortment of fruit and veggies which were severely lacking in my diet. A diet of which was so poor that it … [Read more...]

African Tribal Bibe

Back in December 2014 while swiping through Instagram I stumbled upon Neo the owner of African Lace. I was amazed at the beauty and quality of her leather goods and couldn't believe she was right here in Botswana. I jumped at the chance to interview her and spread the word about her work. I love what the fashion industry in the different countries of Africa are … [Read more...]

Creating a Mastermind Group!

August 30, 2015 By Tamara

Creating a mastermind group! I’ve been all talk and no solid actions for awhile when I think about the transitions that I want to make with this blog. What started out as a platform to share my travel journey, travel advice and natural hair has grown into so much more. My interests have changed as much as my jobs in the past four years of blogging and it is time this site … [Read more...]

Evilqueenkimba wanted to know about natural hair in the Peace Corps, see her question below! First things first...how do I maintain a healthy regimen with limited access to water? Well Kimba, let me be honest with you. My Peace … [Read more...]

Natural Hair Spain

August 4, 2014 By Tamara

Hey guys! I recently made a video about my process when taking care of my natural hair in Spain. The French line Le Petit Marseillais became my go to for cleansing and conditioning in-conjuction with  bentonite clay. Coconut oil is also a great conditioner and can be used during the pre-shampoo stage. Check out the video below and let me know what you think. And as always, … [Read more...]

Women who Inspire: Welcome Bernadette!

July 18, 2014 By Tamara

One of the great things about traveling is meeting  new people as well as other travelers. For me, I especially enjoy meeting young 20-somethings that trade in their mundane and draining corporate lifestyles for the more robust life of travel. I met Bernadette while working as a volunteer for an event in Madrid.  She is also living in Spain working as an auxiliary through the … [Read more...]

Bentonite Clay Hair Mask

March 22, 2014 By Tamara

My hair is falling out... Not only that but it has been extremely dry, breaking and just all around  a sad hot mess :( I've been doing an experiment for the last 6 months where I use products available to me locally, once the hair care products I  brought from the states, ran out. This is in preparation for my Peace Corps Journey. My hair is falling out… On top of that my … [Read more...]
