One major part of teaching to consider if you want to join this profession is dealing with OUTBREAKS! For example last month there was an outbreak of "gripe" which is the flu. OK…this is expected in the winter and with the children sitting in such close proximity to each other it's hard for them not to sneeze in each others face. Yesterday one teacher told me her son came … [Read more...]

Wanderlust
"...Journey of changing one's mind, heart, self or way of life…" Sums up my life in a nutshell right now. I feel incredibly drained at the moment . Not that things are going bad, but the small town mentality is starting to get to me. I wouldn't say I am bored but feel very UNINSPIRED and UNEXCITED by all around me. To everyone here I am the "Guiri" that "teaches English". … [Read more...]

Getting a mobile phone in Spain!
When I arrived to Spain a neighbor helped me to purchase a SIM card for my old Blackberry 8100. It just so happens that her brother owned a mobile phone shop! Now since my phone wasn't unlocked her charged 10€ for that process. Then we decided on what company to use for the new sim card ( I only need to buy a SIM card since I already had the phone). I explained to him that I … [Read more...]

I will be doing a video about the festival! I completely understand why this spice is so … [Read more...]
