The Arrival Store

September 2, 2011 By Tamara

When I arrived in South Korea on August 19, 2011 within a few hours I had a working cell phone. No alien registration card (ARC card) and not even knowing my address…but I had a cell phone! How was this possible?

It takes up to 4 weeks to get your ARC card and it’s necessary if you want to purchase a phone. Well my dear friends, I used The Arrival Store (TAS). You can find more information about this company here : https://www.thearrivalstore.com/!

I received a free cell phone upgrade because of the partnership between the TAS and my recruitment coumpany. All I needed to do was choose the phone online and pay a $125 deposit. Their cell phone plans are comparable to those offered in Korea ( when I get my first bill I will share details). I am also able to call home in the states. Having a phone right away has been really great! But that is not all you can order!

You can also order supplies for your apartment! Check out the video below.

Please let me know if you have any questions or want more information on my TAS experience!
